Laos

Laos remains obscure and unknown when it comes to the world of filmmaking, as very few productions have been shot here.
The petite capital of Vientiane is a place of historic temples, while Luang Prabang is a timeless slice of Lao history with temples, shrines and places lining its slow-paced streets, perfect for a colonial-era period drama. Elsewhere in Laos lie the mysterious Plain of Jars; the sleepy Mekong islands and raging waterfalls of Si Phan Don; the stunning karst scenery of Vang Vieng; the tea plantations of Phongsali; and the historic Pathet Lao wartime headquarters, the Vieng Xai Caves.
