Pepsi
Radical Media, one of the world’s largest creative houses, came to Cambodia in 2007 to shoot a major commercial for Pepsi’s 2008 global campaign to promote the European Championships. The advert was a massive success, featuring Beckham, Ronaldhino and co passing the ball around the globe in a dazzling 60 seconds, all based on football fans around the world imagining their dream cinematic sequence.
Locations included the East Gate of Angkor Thom, the temple of Ta Prohm and the Old Market area of Siem Reap. Body doubles were in town for Thierry Henry, Cesc Fabregas and Frank Lampard, plus some pretty good footballing skills on display. David Beckham and Cesc Fabregas were even dressed as Indiana Jones at some point in the commercial.
Hanuman Films arranged all logistics and permissions for this commercial shoot, including the sensitive filming permissions to shoot at the Temples of Angkor. The crew were based out of Amansara and the Victoria Angkor Hotel.
